Ka Hale Tiki Mug Question

Pages: 1 5 replies

T

I just won a mug off ebay (yes) that was available at the Tiki Oasis III event. The back is inscribed "House of Tiki"... Are all the mugs of this limited edition marked the same on the back? Just wondering!

Mahalo!

P.S. I WILL be at Tiki Oasis IV! WooHoo!!

I got one a while back. Apparently they are a custom run that Tikifarm did for the proprietor of http://islanddecor.com/ It's a pretty cool mug but I think I got ripped off in "rare auction" frenzy thinking it was a really rare and hitting buy it now. Live and learn.

Yes, it is a cool mug, regardless of the price. I checked out the House of Tiki web site, but they seem to be in a state of flux. Retooling, perhaps.

I'm not sure what you paid for the mug, but as of last month, there were still some availible at the House of Tiki in Costa Mesa,CA. I think the price is $15.

Here's a thread with all the history of the mug.

Crazy Al designed the mug. There a pics halfway down the page. I've got 2 of 'em. 1 unfortunately got smashed by the USPS.

If you build it, they will buy. I heard mine was on ebay the other day for a Ben Franklin! Just come up with something totally hip and different, get Crazy Al to carve it and Tiki Farm to produce it and you'll be laughing. Good luck!

Got Aloha?....

Ok, allrighty, I've "lurked" here for quite a while and have collected for some years. This post bothered me from the start. Pardon me, but the "laughing" bit just saddens me.
The above was written by your seeker. House of Tiki in Costa Mesa. So you decide how much you love the mug.
