Hanford, Some nice writn' there. That "Computer" book looks very interesting. My Dad worked on the microchip development program for IBM way back when. I still have one of the early models embedded in lucite as a paperweight. It's about the size of a quarter and has less power than you average toaster. DANG! What happened to the future? Why the frig is my flying car and vacation on the moon? Why does my future look more and more like the jibbersh filled, acid-rain soaked type? |

I second your review of the "Future Perfect" book - it's great. My only disappointment is that it's a small format book with pictures across the gatefold. They deserve a better presentation. But there's tons of great stuff in there. My favorite image is of a 50's housewife standing in her kitchen shopping over a 2-way TV - the internet! Outside the window in the background her child dashes in from a terrible rainstorm. Classic.
