Jetta. The car tiki's want to drive?

Aloha, Just got my new Men's Health mag. in the mail. Thumbing thru I came across an a picture of a Jetta driving down a CA street. Was kinda weird, no tag line. Turn the page and VW the new Jetta. Worth another look, Shows a tiki out on the side walk checking out the car. Does this mean that VW is the car for tiki's? mine is kinda fond of the '63 Impala ragtop.

I saw it in Dwell magazine. It's a Mai Tiki. Or a Mai Tiki rip-off?
