That right the outhouse Moan(s). http://www.outhosuemoan.com

Unkle John, I can't believe you can't spell the name of your own band. A better link would be http://www.outhousemoan.com

My wife gets home after 2 weeks in Seattle that evening so if I try skip out I'll end up a shrunken head. Anywhere on-line we can go to hear samples from the CD?

:drink:

D*MN! I wish I'd known about this!! I just made plans for Friday night :(

How cool to have Mr. Peppermint, aka father of Butthole Surfer Gibby Haynes. And the CD has an old bandmate of mine, Tex Edwards. Small world!

I fixed the link, sorry about that. I have darvaset (sp) running in my veins rght now. screwed up my back again.

there is a website, i re-read the email (wanted to get it all on here before it was too late to tell you guys)the website is: http://www.texotica.com
or try these:
http://www.cdarmy.com
http://www.ageofdesign.com

hope to see you guys out.

PS i checked those sites.. there's nothing in the lines of mp3's..either that or my coputer is tryingto crash...

Just a reminder that the party is tonight, hope to see you all there!

Hey Unkle John (and other Dallasites)!

No chance for tonight, but any chance you'll be at the Woggles (from Georgia, featuring old bandmates of mine) and Guitar Wolf (from Japan) at The Doublewide, Saturday night? I might be heading that way.

Yes, THAT Saturday night, Nov. 22 in DALLAS. They're kinda weirded out by that one!

K

Yes, THAT Saturday night, Nov. 22 in DALLAS

I'll be playing my acoustic at the Grassy Knoll. There's supposed to be a bunch of people hanging out there for some reason.

:drink:

playing Dead Kennedys songs?

i'll be moving my trailer tomarrow.

Well I have to report: The Party Sucked!

$5 to get in and drinks where not free.
Hell the idiots didn't even know how to mix drinks...besides an "unkle john rum and coke" (tripple the liquor). But for $5.75 no thanks, one was fine.
There was three..count them, 1-2-3 tiki statues. The "buffet"...chips and dip.
Oh and the killer of the deal? The CD cases where in, but the CD's haven't been compleately burned. WHAT'S THE G.D. USE OF HAVING A CD RELASE PARTY IF YOU HAVE NO CDS!!!!

I guess the only good thing out of the whole night was sitting next to Mr. Peppermint (Jerry Haynes) and telling him "thanks" for the entertainment. He did a cover from his son's band: "pepper". I am now forever scarred.

I'm glad none of you tikiets could come, it would have been a waste of your time. Totaly embarassing tiki experience.

But can anyone join me tonight (Saturday)? I am coming to Dallas, JFK Day, to see the Woggles and Guitar Wolf at The Double Wide, and I plan to hit Coconuts Island Grill beforehand, or at least for lunch tomorrow.

I'd love to go thrifting or vintage shopping too, if anyone can point me in the direction (it's been YEARS since my last Big D trip).

Sorry the evening last night was a bust, Unkle John. But seeing Mr. Peppermint do a Buttholes song would have been worth the trip for me.

oops i just read you comment, sorry i was out x-mas shopping for the wife.

Too damn windy to move the trailer today... it just never ends.

K

I plan to hit Coconuts Island Grill

So what did you think of Coconuts? My impression is they still have a long way to go, but they did just open. Nice tiki selection behind the bar. I plan on being there Friday night the 5th if anyone would like to join me for whatever the special is (bottled Coors I think).

:drink:

Just wanted to inform ya'll that the Texotica CD is FINNALY out.
My bandmate, Andy Emmons, picked me up a copy.

You can purchase the CD off of their website: http://www.texotica.com
If the site is not up you could try: http://www.indierec.com or http://www.cdarmy.com

To give a quick review:
I'm currently on Mr. Peppermin't track and so far all the bands sound great! And that's not saying because we are on it. My only complaint (besides it taking so long) was that they butched our song. They took a small part of it and looped it for 3 minutes. I didn't hear any vocals, but my computer speakers aren't that great.
