New watering hole

Aloha all and Happy New Year!!!! I have recently picked up a gig bartending at a swanky new bar called Stinger, so if you happen to be in the Bay area stop on by. It's in San Mateo on 25th ave (#38) just off El Camino Real towards Bay Meadows. Not much in the way of Tiki at all but a bit of a 60's lounge feel. I am trying to convince the owner to turn the outside back area into a Tiki themed space by Spring/Summer.

--did it replace that British Pub on 25th???

Yeah, I think I saw an ad for this place... I was on 25th today and meant to look for it.
Thanks for the tip maybe a visit this weekend...

No,it did not replace the British pub (The Prince of Wales).It is right next door to it though.You can get a little more info on it at city search.com

Went last week with the wife and mrsmiley for a quick drink. Certainly not tiki at all, but very nice inside (swanky!) with well made drinks at a very reasonable priced happy hour. Check it out if you're in the area.
