Boba and Rum?

Is Boba Tiki?

I know that I could take some heat for thinking out loud about this, but could Boba work in a tasty tropical libation "alchohol based of course"? It is exotic, it goes well with fruit based drinks, and adds an interesting texture, why not add some rum and get crazy? Have you seen the diameter of the straws that are required, they are huge. I think that the inclusion of Boba "pea sized tapioca balls" would tend to make the drinker suck up a drink very quickly. That could make things interesting.....

What do you think? What would Trader Vic, or Donn Beach think about this? I'm getting thirsty just thinking about it.
