Don Ho and Oral Roberts on the same album???

Well today was "thrift store crawl day". The only reason excuse I have to go to Escondido is to hit thrift stores and fight the tweekers for the good stuff. As is usually the case our efforts filled the trusty 1995 Ford Aspire to the brim. My favorite item of the day is Don Ho/Oral Roberts collaborative effort. Titled "Oral Roberts in Hawaii", This album is Oral Roberts subtle way of forewarning his followers of impending doom. I had to open it up, and there he was, Don Ho, credited with "My God and I", a depressing little ditty delivered in Don Ho's trademark style, a slightly slurred delivery with a haunting harmonica and horn chorus. Not sure how liquored up he had to get to do this one. No date on this album but I am guessing early to mid 70s, anyone know? From the song:

Now here I stand in Levis
A boy (incoherent) a man
My eyes on the sky
And I understand

Theres trouble in California
We know the earthquakes overdue
My God and I will get through
So can you
Will you sing it with me now
la la la la la . . . . . . .

I was given that album for Christmas and saw it in a thrift store again yesterday. I have not played it yet...

Bought it today! And a "Rex Humbard In Hawaii" record! Strange...
