Any info on Exotica 2004?

Just wonderin'? Had a great time last year.

We have been in touch with the Marriott. The only problem is that they would not commit to anything too far in the future. They could not or would not guarantee that the Kona Kai would be intact. We wanted to plan the entire weekend around the Marriott and the Kona Kai. We are trying to secure a discounted room rate, a block of rooms and access to the Kona Kai for the entire weekend. Sort of like they do at the Tropics during the Oasis. Only we would schedule chartered trips to the Hala Kahiki, Trader Vics and the Chef Shangri-La. Our hope would be to have use of the Kona Kai all weekend with an elegant catered dinner one night, maybe some bands, a Tiki market and other events throughout the weekend. But again, getting the Mariott to understand and cooperate with what we want to do is another thing. As is scheduling– since the Hukilau moved to September, we would not want to do it in August again. I guess we'd have to shoot for sometime between Oasis and Hukilau.

So the answer to your question is, not really any info at this point, but as soon as we have something, we'll let you know.
