I found this Westwood looking mug. There is a label on the bottom that says WestPac of Japan. Anyone know anything about this?? [ Edited by: TikiTrevor 2006-12-16 09:17 ] |

I have an identical mug except mine has a label that says "Davar" (Made In Japan). I purchased it with another similar, but different, mug that also carries the Davar label. There are definitely characteristics of these mugs that look like Westwood (or WestPac, or several other clone companies). I have always suspected that they are all made by the same manufacturer and labeled differently for distribution. That particular mug seems to be very rare. I've seen it on eBay one time in the last four years. Nice find! ModMana :drink: |

I wanted to bring this topic up again. I've always been curious about the whole Westwood/Westpac/Davar/etcetera thing. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of definitive answers out there. Trevor, Any chance you could restore that picture from your original post? |

There were a few companies that made "westwood knockoffs" many of them had complete sets of four. one even had little tiki cups like WW, but different faces.. another had a different teapot, etc. This one had the handle on the back, some had it on the side |
