This is one of those that is going to divide the brethren:

Looks like something from Super Mario Bros. 2

It's like one of the Chapman Brothers carvings:

Great mug!

Trader Woody

I like it, but don't know about the video game stuff.

Hey Woody, that looks to me like what you would get if you crossed Chewbacca the Wookie and C-3PO.

Save the Tikis!

As simple as that piece looks , it is very difficult to create. There are subtle moves in the carving that take a lot of skill and artistic experience to figure out. The Mug is great also.

Check out what Kono just posted in my "carvings" thread. Things are getting strange.

the whole technique of scratching lines into something in even rows is present in farming and math...this kind of rainbowed ribboned effect reminds me of the classic radio bumper sticker tune tags from SO CAL

this piece is unique and it's cool!

There he sits, forgotten, neglected, no bids for days, yet unperturbed by the fact that the "Spanish Craze" only seems to have lasted 2 weeks.

As a gentleman and a scholar, he is content with enchanting his owner at whatever price..
