I searched the arcives and didn't really find anything for OT, just mentions. But We all know you can get tiki/luau stuff pretty darn cheap from them. I got the new catalog last week or so, and I found a few items I wanted everyone to be aware of. CERAMIC COCONUT CUPS item #IN-34/936 ISLAND BOWL (COOLEST ITEM!!)Item # IN-34/980: "TRIBAL" CEREAMIC MUG (yeah we all know of it)Item #IN-34/682 I would mainly suggest going to the website and asking for a free catalog. the catalog actually has more than the website. Trust me, would your unkle lie to you?

I like how the description for the volcano bowl states that it's not intended for liquids. That's like trying to sell a car and saying not intended for roads! |

Has anyone seen the coconut cups in the OT catalog? I am tempted to order them. I so love coconut mugs and wondered if they might be nice for parties? By the way since I am fairly new to this, do people really use their collectable mugs or are they just for display? |

I think the coconut cups are a little small at 9 oz. I need at least 12oz for ice, alcohol and mixer. No, I don't use my collectibles for ordinary use. i get either common mugs, or get custom ones made up. |

This thread may need to be moved to the marketplace, but i don't have that power. Anyways, I got the new 2006 catalog, and they have a few items that are worth noting to you all. Now I would classify these as "cheesy tiki", so don't kill the messanger. If you go to the site and type "TIKI" much much more will come up... much much more cheesy tiki that is. Some cheese to note: Tiki man gummy candy, cardboard tiki pull pinata (?!), Frosted Tiki man suckers, and Coconut can holders... with a "tiki man face" painted on them. The Tiki Necklace, Plastic Tiki Drink shaker, Plastic Tiki Plates, Tiki Food Picks, & Tiki head goblets are worth noting. Sadly many of the new items are not linked to a photo yet. I do want to add a note here, I want to find this "drew" who put out the "Drew's famous Original tiki bar party music" CD, and kick him repeatidly in the coconuts. Such a cool looking cd cover, and horrible selection of "tiki" music. Here are the pages for tiki And if you need decor or leis, here is the search for luau My Tiki Lounge http://unklejohn.suddenlaunch.com/index.cgi [ Edited by: Tikiwahine - to shorten overly long links - 2006-03-03 14:51 ] |

i saw tons of coconut cups today at Target, and not those cheap ones either! They actually had cut the coconut near the top, so the top could lift off and be used as a lid, then the top was tied on one side with small strands of some kind of material and it has a hole in the top that ACTUALLY comes with a straw! I wanted to get it, but at that time i was on the look out for actual tiki items, and i only had 20$ in my pocket. |

We got a whole TON of their swag last year for our Luau (Got mugs from Tiki Farm though).... Used all their trinkets to fill goodie bags for the kids, and as pinata stuffing, and just thrown around to add to the general clutter on the tables. Some pretty neat stuff, and cheap cheap cheap! Pics of the Luau here (I'm sure you'll see some of the OT stuff) http://bargoyle.yafro.com/photos/2005/8/1 |
