ALOHA friends,
I carved this guy because he is one of my favorites. It's to bad I can't ship large ones because he is pretty when he's carved in a full body stance. To my customers who has bought him befor, he is know as "Da little KAHUNA" when in full body, he's da big Kahuna.
I'll have a few more Items on ebay later. Including a red wood mask/shield.
It's the mask that you see on Trader Vics matchbook cover. Design is from the Sepic River in New Guinea.

Nice work, Gecko, I like the Witco inspired Leopard backing.
Wanted to share some Oceanic Arts info about that Waikiki Hotel bar with you that sounds very promising, not like a half assed attempt:
We have been working for several months on the "Tiki's Grill and Bar" at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel in Honolulu, supplying the entire job including 45 Glass Floats in 12 in diameter, Wall Materials and 3 pages of artifacts. LeRoy is carving 9 hardwood tiki's at present in authentic styles from laminated Basswood for this job.
