had a storm in mah brain.
maybe wuz discussed already:

TC should give ebay a lil competition and maybe keep da kala (money) all in da ohana:
maybe initiate a kind of Teekeebay thingy;
fer example: all TCers would pay a flat 18 dollars a year (or whatever) to lemoore/Tiki Central for the priviledge of trading, buying, selling among the exclusive elite TC member group on another main page of da site..
then the prime stuff would circulate among TCers. cuz ebay can be expensive and too much humbug...
(ironic that just above the new post subject line of new topic, I see: "This is an eBay Auction announcement.")

can you imagine it?!
most all the TIKI on the internet ending up on the Tiki Central auction website.
wow. a revolution in the industry.
or not.
just a thot...

This is a perk of the Grand Membership already. HINT HINT HINT

TC

Grand Membership is a wonderful thing.

Plus, a good many TCers already sell & trade their items on TC ... & many more give a heads up when they list something on eBay. If you have any good tiki stuff to sell or trade, there's a good chance somebody on TC will be interested.

eBay is a wonderful thing. I don't see the point in 're-inventing that wheel.'

maybe a 'Trading Tiki' forum (where items for sell or trade are posted) might be a good idea, but a lot of folks might think that's taking things too far & turning TC into more of a market than it's already become.

Aloha,
Tiki Chris

TC

doesn't ebay have closed auctions? that might be something to consider.

somebody on TC will be interested.

unless of course, the wheel doesn't getcha to where ya wanna go.

ebay needs some competition. even if its a "small startup"...
