Exotica… LIVE!
seeking percussion in BERLIN, Germany

I am putting together a group of musicians to play a weekly exotica gig in the proper setting, a full on tiki-bar!
So what we now need is somebody who understands exotica, with a love for percussion, more lush brazil than dense afro-cuban, more tahitian drum patterns than jazz. Maybe you know somebody around Berlin who fits this description, or we even have a lurking percussionist from germany?

Floral shirts and straw hats will be provided, but a collection of exotic percussion instruments, or even a vibraphone would be great.
We are not professionals, it’s the love of this music driving us. It’s not going to be too serious, but the aim is to give the beautiful place additional atmosphere through the power of the live-music.

Good luck K-mann,

If Europe is anything like the good ol' USA, percussionists and bass players are extremely hard to come by.

Reminds me of a guitarists joke though: If a drummer and a bass player fell off a cliff at the same time, which one would land first?

Answer: who cares!

I would contact Moritz R and see what he can come up with. He's a musician too ya know. So where is this bar you are playing at?

reminds me of another joke...what do you
call someone who hangs around with
musicians....
a drummer....
actually I am a percussionist with a couple
of bands (congas,djembe,bongos,etc) but
Wisconsin is too far to commute. finishing
a cd of tiki bar background music (sorta
like Mickey Hart/Planet Drum)...anyone
interested in a free copy?
