Well,we sure lost a great one-not only was he a superb actor-he was Tiki (Tahiti)early on-quite an original-he'll be missed.

Ain't that the truth. I watched Last Tango last nite for the 1st time in I don't know how many years. I woke up this morning and clicked onto the Sci-Fi channel for the Twilight Zone marathon & caught an episode with Brando in it. The old saying "you don't know what you got 'til it's gone" sure applies here.

we watched "guys and dolls" last nite in memory of the dearly departed. it was swell as ever, some fine frank singing, some not so fine brando singing...

but i had forgotten that when they go to cuba, they drink their run drinks out of coconuts (ceramic?)! brando was tiki indeed...

I would have thought there would be more in the media after his passing-- just too bad in my opinion. I know there are still many of us out there who think he was great.

yes I agree with limptiki, there is not as much media as one would expect after an icon like Brando passed away. I know his funeral was private. Brando didn't like the media too much though and kinda locked himself away in his later years, especially after all the pain and problems his kids caused him. I think he would have liked the lack of media. Man oh man was he great though. Hey Stelllllllllllllllaaaaaaaa!

For Bay Area Brando buffs, I'm hosting a tribute in Thrillville at the Parkway on September 2, featuring "The Wild One,"

That's an understatement - he owned six islands near Tahiti!

The horror...
