couldnt decide which forum to post in~its sorta general, but mostly food!

I was reading reviews of restaurants on egullet.com, and found out about discount certificates (that you print on your computer) at http://www.restaurant.com ~ so of course, I set about to find which tiki restaurants might be listed.
There were 176 restaurants in Seattle area, and luckily 3 were tiki –hawaiian types!

In Seattle, Islander, Luau and Bamboo Bar & Grill offer a certificate worth $25 for just $5 bucks. The limit I saw on these 3 establishments was “for parties of 4 or more” and on food only, when you use the discount.

I looked at some of the other cities, but didn’t see any tiki-type restaurants listed.

My wife and I had dinner at the Islander last weekend. The hawaiian fried chicken I ordered was raw in the middle! They were very nice about it, comped my meal and gave me gift certificates. The place is worth a visit.
