Another surprising first FinkDaddy, yours is a great project with Lots of imagination. The backlit Moai is Very good and Yes it very much is recognizable as a moai. I'm sure the next one will be better yet, but don't be ashamed of your first. Keep it forever, one day you will see how good it was.
