I've been thinking about the framing and the most cost effective way. I hate the fact that the frame cost's more than the art, so I checked out my local frame shop.

A 20" x 30" frame is pretty standard, and you can pick up a nice one off the shelf in a variety of woods and thicknesses. My thought is to buy an off the shelf frame and Pay to have the Matte cut. This would be much cheaper than having the frame shop do everything with a custom size frame.

I tested some layouts to see what would fit the 20" x 30" size.

This was my first idea. and would require a single matte. I've seen this Matte board with a fiber texture that I thought would look nice with this Tiki theme.

Then I thought if it were to be hung vertical, then there would be room to double matte them for a nicer effect...

I tried offsetting them but I'm not sure I like it as well...

I'll have to come up with exact measurements, but I'm sure i can get the matte cut at a bargain price.
