Hukilau was a blast. So sad to have to leave early tho. Thanks to Swanky and Kiliki for all their hard work to make this years event unforgettable.
We did go to the MaiKai Friday evening before the Hukilau. Glad we did. It's an awesome place. However, I don't think I'd ride out a hurricane in it. Right now we're sitting in our cement block dwelling, plywood over the windows and doors, waiting for the eye of Jeanne to pass by in a few hours. I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable... After the beatings we've taken over the last 6 weeks, there is no such thing as the news oversensationalizing these things.
I will be posting some pics of I bella di Waikiki who entertained us in our room, for drinks of course, after the cruise Thursday. What a crazy bunch of Italians. Lukey sure loves running around in his underwear. Was looking forward to seeing them and the Vodkanauts tonite at Skippers Smokehouse, but it's not to be.
Rockin'Roxy and Baaad to the Bone Brent, hope you all made it back safely. We looked for you Saturday morning just in case you didn't get out Friday nite, but you were long gone. Hope to see you again next year.
Tikilee and Marian, where are you??? Hope the airport floor wasn't too uncomfortable.
Anxious to hear from all of you who rode out Jeanne at the MaiKai.
