I've been trying to find a tiki bar (at-home version) and finally gave up and decided to try my hand at woodwork... googled tiki bar instructions or something like that, and ended up here. I am quite impressed by all of the talented arteests here and look forward to diving into this site a bit more. For now, I am off to the hardware store to get the bar-making goods suggested in the book "Pad: The Guide to Ultra-Living." (Thanks for the great book recommendation, Hanford!) Also, I'm new to L.A. and Trader Vic's is right down the road. Can't wait to have some sort of volcano-on-fire drink!
