Just tack or nail it in. Went to Cost Plus, went to the roll-up shade section, selected a shade of bamboo slats and an interesting pattern. Top of bar: just get some pressboard crap, cut it into an interesting pattern. I covered mine with green astroturf. In fact, here's a picture of just the bartop:
