I'm still going to do the 'ol switcheroo... I let her do her 'trick or treating', then when she gets home I switch her candy bag with a bag of candy I already bought her myself. No hassles, no filtering of suspicious items, just fond and sugar-filled memories for her.

What a great idea! I'm going to have to do that with my kid too. Thanks for the tip!
