I actually began as a 78 collector, was intrigued by Yma Sumac, started buying her compilations, had a listen to related material such as Les Baxter, Martin Denny, and thereby dicovered Tiki... I find her music so thrilling it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.. it transports me away to ruined jungle temples, sunken cities.... wonderful stuff!
