Another one that I have hears is that whatever you are holding in your hands at midnight will be what the new year will bring. If you are holding money, the year will bring lots of money. So hold the things that you want for that year and don't be cleaning out the cat box at that moment. I guess my only real superstition is that the new year celebration sets the tone for the year, so there is some pressure to do something good and make sure that the day doesn't suck. |
