Nobody's mentioned that this 'snoai' (love that, Tikiwahine!) isn't exactly a carving. Judging from the skimpy layer of snow on the ground, I have to say he's a snowman! No knives, no chainsaws, no carving, no nothin' - just roll/pack the snow up into a shape (ok, maybe "carve" a nose). A $50,000 snowman, but a snowman nonetheless!!
