I just got back from Trader Vic's, where there was no recognition of the great one's passing, whatsoever. AJ is on vacation. There wasn't a single aloha shirt in the place (not even me, unfortunately I went there from a court appearance), but that didn't stop me from raising a toast to the GREAT ONE. I am just glad that so many of us who admire and remember his work have congregated in one place. I suggest a moment of silence followed by a raucus toast for the king of Exotica at Oasis, Exotica, and Hukilau this year.
