Saturday, March 26, 9pm onward
Join us for the Conga debut of The Faux Hawaiians – a Bay Area acoustic quartet comprised of lap steel guitar, ukulele, guitar and bass. Much of their music is played on vintage instruments as used by various trios and quartets that first introduced “Hawaiian Music” to the mainland in the early 1920s and ‘30s
The 1920s and 30s were a time of great social change and an equally great time of development for a wide variety of musical styles that have since cross pollinated to produce much of today’s music.
The Faux Hawaiians attempt to capture and re-create that era in both their choice of instruments and their music.
Beginning at 9pm, the band will play between sets of Hapa Hoale and Exotica by DJ Tropic and as well as live Hula.
Also prizes and drink specials all night long !!
As always, no cover !!
