Did you guys notice that even with the ever increasing value of the first edition mugs, they seem to be easier to aquire than the second edition? What's up with that?

I always felt the same way. When the first set of Shag mugs came out I used to see them all over town. In fact, I would actually check the tag for the production number and buy it if it was a lower number than what I had at home. Then I'd just sell the one I had at home. But when the second set came out they sold out almost immediately! I never saw any of them around town and when I see Shag mugs come up on eBay it always seems like its a first edition mug.
I still don't have ONE mug from the second set....
