"Art that has to be in a gallery to be art isn’t art." I have that hanging over my desk at work. I take great glee whenever I see some self important artist, collector, or gallery owner reading it. Most of the "art" I see is crap. Most of the crap I see is art. Point in case ( I'm not sure if I've told this story ) was when I lived in NYC. Someone kept going around and sprinkling the dog crap on the sidewalks with candy sprinles, or various colours of glitter. That was truly crap that was art.
