The book: Bone Carving by Stephen Myre is an excellent way to get started. This is another site I came across a while back that may help people that want to pursue this interest further: http://www.carving.co.nz/howto.html A good place to get bone blanks is to cut them yourself from bones available from the pet store. My local Petsmart has leg bones of different sizes to choose from and they're already stripped and bleached white. The Bone art place is an excellent site and if you like that, you will like the Maori art on this site: http://www.spiritwrestler.com/maori/jewellery/body_main.html Maybe I will start a bone thread when I have a few pieces done. In the meantime, I hope there are others that are inspired to attempt something in bone.
