It seems to me that the goal of the supreme court ruling was to target residential housing and replace them with businesses for tax revenue. Since Hala Kahiki is a business, and alcohol generates tax revenue, it might not be at as big of a risk. Especially when a local hangout is a good selling point for the condos. But... as Tikibars mentioned, the owners could decide to sell to anyone that makes a good offer. Now here's the fantasy world solution: Everyone on Tike Central chips in $1,000 to buy it, then we collectively own it and run it in a democratic way, but on the cultish side. From the first year's profits well by Gene's & Jude's and create a torch lit meandering path between them. How's that? Please send all dontations to paypal account [email protected]. Thanks. |
