That's far and away my favorite Sandy cover. I dig her "savage" hair. It's great, because, with the hair and cleavage, she looks actually really contemporary. You would not think a woman who looked like that walking down the street today seemed dated or period-looking. But what's so great is how shocking that must have looked at the time. No woman would be caught dead with hair like that in the 50s! Savage! |
