I only got 11/16 and I was an art major and am a member at MOMA and go there a lot (2 blocks from where I live). But then again I think 1/2 of the stuff there is crap. But the 1/2 that is art is really cool. It never ceases to amaze me how "artists" make many museum curators look like idiots by getting them to display crap. Most of the public knows they are an idiot, but they think they are the only ones that "get it".

I don't think I'm labeling them idiots because I am the ultimate judge of what is and isn't art, but there is something wrong when you hang something like a canvas that is all white, and then have to put a sign up to explain why it is art. It seems to me that the explaination is what the artist told yhem to get them to display it in the first place, and they were gullible enough to believe it.

I wonder if these so called artists know they are scamming, or if they really think they're talented and creative? I guess you have to be somewhat creative to get your crap displayed in a museum.

I remember years ago when I lived in Hartford Connecticut, there was a big to-do in the press because the city paid this artist $200k to do a sculpture for a park, and he brought in a few boulders and lined them up. Some years later, he was arrested fro murdering his girlfriend.
