All the mugs were made at the same time, so the finish is pretty consistant throughout the whole batch. The exterior Black is (should be) more of a matte black, than a gloss or flat finish. I still have some left for sale. I have kept track of where all the one we have sold. It has been a fun project, but I would leave the day in and day out Tiki Mug making and selling to the "Pros", Holden, Gecko,Tiki Diablo,and others. TikiGreg-Thanks for the kind words, It would be cool to have my mug considered to be a "must have". Thanks to all that have bought!! mahalo
