I just returned this afternoon from a visit with Benz to watch him work and glean some of his carving wisdom. let me tell you, ohana, as good as those photos are of the big Maori, there's nothing like seeing them in person... when i first saw #4, i could have sworn he was breathing!

but even more impressive and memorable was the magnitude of Ben's spirit, generosity and hospitality.

Thanks Ben, for sharing your home, your time, talent and for the design tips on my Moai. I truly appreciate it!
