I knew about the Waldorf, but last I'd heard was that public access to any Tiki areas was verboten. I was last there in '97, in a fairly "normal" lounge that was given over to extremely thrashy bands on weekends. Lotsa piercing and hacked hair, not my scene at all. I have never been in the Polynesian Room and assumed it was still closed as described in The Tiki Bar Review Pages in September '01.
