Pop, I agree that Ikea stuff may not be a highly sought after collectible in the future. But I do know tons of those shell chairs didn't last. It is far easier to find the frames than the molded chairs which became brittle (and I'm no Eames expert) I'm also certain no one thought furniture made for schools and airports (Eames, Herman Miller, etc.) would ever become collectible or sold at Christie's Auctions!
