Tiki and Caribbean. Can they be mixed? - General Tiki

A ratio of "Tiki" to "Caribbean" that would still let it be deemed Tiki. I'd like to add, the escapism that thrived in Tiki's golden age is a big part of the mixing for me. Pirates,cannibals and foreign lands lend well to the mix. I may not be clear on what really constitutes non-tiki.I understand the obvious things like giant Budweiser neon signs.
