This guy is true Hawai'i.

After spending a few days in the shadow of Mauna Kea I found this song by him and decided to do my own version of it on uke this afternoon. Here's a one take offering I hope you enjoy.

We'll work it up better for the next CD; but for now - I think you can feel the essence of a terrific song written for the slack key guitar about an amazing place on earth and fitting nicely with a simple vocal and tenor uke.

The Brothers Cazemiero did the song as well.
A nice version.
But Keola's original on his CD "Slack Key In The Real Old Style" is so elemental and very moving.
