I'd recommend an angle grinder. There is a sanding disk attachment you can purchase where ever you can buy angle grinders. It costs about $10. The sanding disks are about $1.50 each but last a long time. 24 grit can take a lot of wood off in a hurry (I use this for sculpting and shaping) and 80 grit leaves a pretty smooth finish that can easily be hand finished, or even left as is depending on your tastes. If you plan on doing a lot, spend the little extra money and invest in a good angle grinder. Also make sure your extension cord is rated heavy enough. I've burnt an angler grinder up from too heavy use with too small a cord. In the long run the few extra dollars will pay for themselves. Post your pictures. JP |
