I'd forgotten all about that place, and I'm surprised to hear it's still in business. I remember going there at least as far back as 1969, and I'm pretty sure 1967, too. The one on Jackson Drive in La Mesa is the one we frequented the most, but I once went to the one in Mission Valley (in 1973). I'd love to obtain a copy of their humorous paper menu with sauteed mosquito legs and other nonsense that they always used to have for free but that I never kept.
