thanks everyone! my sister made the quilt she is on. she bought a bunch of fabric when they were on maui a few months back knowing she wanted to make it for her. she hand embroidered her name and the flipflops. she hand embroidered 5 of the panels on the quilt and they all look great. for my birthday last year she hand embroidered a tiki mask and surfboards onto an apron for me since i like cooking and bbqing a lot. then for my wife's birthday she got her a robe and embroidered plumerias on it for her. it's kinda cool she did all that work for us and made stuff of the style we like. i'll try to get some pics posted of the other things she did if anyone is interested.

oh trust me, she's getting started early. since we live in a 1 bedroom condo, we converted the dining area into her "room". it's got tikis, her crib has a grass skirt around the bottom, the divider is going to be covered in bac-bac matting and bamboo. she she's getting into very early on.
