I saw the thread about what your name means, But I din't see this one. Dohhh! I've been into Tiki since around 96 when I went to Hawaii and also got into surf music. Some surf bands used tikis on their cd covers. I used to see the Tiki Tones with SHAG in the band at the Doll Hut in Anaheim Ca. alot back in the late 90's. I'd go to some shag art exhibits, and other tiki events, that I heard of thru the Grapevine. And would recognize some of the same people over and over. Now that I'm an actuall TC person I realize it's like a big family or Mafia of Tiki People. I really like the friendly atmosphere in TC and at the events.
