Unfortunately the Polynesian Motel is gone (433 w. Montecito St.), but the decor is cool at Alphies (just north of SB in Goleta). For Mexican we like La Super Rica Taqueira on Milpas or Chilangos on State (their chimichanga tortilla is more like a pastry), there is also an antique store just north on the same side of the street. For dessert the sopapillas at Santa Fe Cafe on State are yummy.

If you have time stop by on your way up. We are right off the 101. Have fun!
