Here's the next project to finish... a maori from a 2x 8 piece of cherry wood. Working now on the face detail... needs lots of cleanup, stain, and MOP eye inserts. I used it as an intro to the style... with The Art of Maori Carving as a guide. Went with simple surface details.. used a little of the foredom/ wecheer recip and 3/8" parting tool. It still has a ways to go....
