I've started work (again) on #11. It's a piece of black walnut which is fairly easy to carve. I think it's similar to mahogany to carve, but I don't think the grain is as pretty. I'm thinking of using a nice dark stain and poly and see if I can give it a nice warm glow. There's a lot to carve on him first though. :)
