A friend sent me a link to this NY Times story this morning. I see that Tiki Chris has already mentioned it on his Rapa Nui blog, but I thought it deserved its own topic. Award winning playwright Edward Albee (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) recently visited Easter Island at age 77. It's a travel piece with lots of specific info and advice for visitors. He plans to go back several times and urges readers to visit soon. He also warns about a proposed casino. He mentions a book called "The Complete Guide to Easter Island" by Shawn McLaughlin published by the Easter Island Foundation in 2004 - gonna have to have to check it out.
