I lived in Corvallis for a few mo's in the 80's, very NICE shirt, space age needle and hula all together at last! Here are a few finds from this week Anyone know anything about the plate above, it sez South Pacific and has a "Legend of the South Pacific on the plate bottom. This wooden figure looks like a hopi Kachina (a bit) or native american ball and stick player maybe, but It's possible that he is from the South Seas. His Floral shirt and bandana could be either N.A. or Oceanic but his mossy "fro" hair looks more Fijan or some such, any ideas? Iorana, P.S. Nevermind the ball player, he is Native American most likely, probably Mayan from S. Mexico, a ball and stick player. Now if I can just figure out where the plate is from.
