Tiki-Tonga emerging from the shadows here, (after over two years of lurking) to express my appreciation to all the great artists here on TC. It's been fun collecting and learning about poly-pop history. My first tiki memory was a Halloween event for kids at The Tiki's in Monterey Park. That experience remained embedded in my brain as well as many family dinners at Bahooka in Rosemead.The tiki bug was re-sparked in me about 2 1/2 years ago, with the help of a co-worker/friend, and has led to a rapidly growing mug collection and a rapidly shrinking bank account.
