Benz - Thanks for chiming in, and all the way from Alabama! I worked hard on this rough out. This was the bumpiest log out of the whole group that I brought home last year. I was saving it for something with a little more shape to it, and it worked perfectly, allowing me to get that right arm back off the body. The round flowing arms and open cuts should accent the rest of the curves I hope to dig into him. Stand by.

Hewey - Actually, my neighbor has a rail too and he doesn't mind the engine noise - he was cranking around behind me in his . Both of my direct neighbors seem ok with the saw noise too, as they have never brought it up, I speak to them every day, and I use the saw ALOT. They dig my carvings and come by to see what I'm up to. The guy with the rail has a bunch of my tikis and carved animals in his house and around his outdoor tiki bar.

JohnnyP - you asked what I was gonna do for an encore for the last guy....well, here you go. A 50" cedar Maori with some cool open areas, a difficult asymmetrical layout, and a few details I have not put on one of these yet (like a thumb). Keep your fingers crossed and keep watching, this guy could be really wild!
